About the Awards

Best .hk Website Awards 2015

Aiming to actively promote outstanding .hk websites, HKIRC is organising the “Best .hk Website Awards 2015” (the Awards) to recognise the remarkable achievements of all outstanding .hk websites from different sectors.

Since its inception in 2009, the Awards has been developed as a platform for business, organisations, the Government and local entities to share their best practices for .hk website development.

This year, we will introduce additional assessment under the existing four judging criteria covering the mobile version of the enrolled websites, for which an award may be given to recognize the website which scores the best in terms of mobile-friendliness.

In addition to the “Most Liked .hk Website” and “The Most Honorable Website” Awards, which were added in the last two years, the “Best New Website” Award will be added as a special mention to acknowledge new entrants for their outstanding efforts made since 2014.

  • Encourage the use of good practices and design in website development to increase competitiveness and maximise the benefits brought by the Internet to the society
  • Recognise excellent use of technology and .hk or .香港 domain names to develop outstanding websites
  • Cultivate the spirit of best practice sharing of .hk and .香港 website design and development across the community

The Awards are divided into four streams, including “Commercial”, “Non-commercial” (such as NGOs and schools), “Government Departments” and “LegCo Members”. The websites of “Government Departments” appearing on HKSAR Government Organization Chart and the websites of “LegCo Members” appearing on the LegCo Members’ Contact Directory are automatically included at the call-for-entry stage.

Interested parties with websites using .hk domain names are welcome to participate. Winning entries of Gold/ Silver/ Bronze awards or certificates in the previous years, except those which were awarded “The Most Honorable Websites”, are welcome to enter the Awards again. Any parties who would like to nominate entries for ‘Commercial’ and ‘Non-commercial’ award streams can contact us for a “fast track” admission via mail@bestwebsite.hk OR complete the online nomination form. The nominator(s) with the highest number of website entries and/or most nominated websites achieving the highest ranking will also be recognised.
